Tina Heeley Counsellor

I'm a registered counsellor with the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), working in private practice and for the NHS in central Northampton and UK-wide online. I am committed to anti-oppressive and culturally sensitive inclusive practice, and affirming the experiences of LGBTQ+ individuals and those with neurodivergence. I also have a professional background in the arts and charity sectors in facilitation, leadership, retreats and project management.

As an Integrative counsellor, I believe each person is unique and requires a tailored approach that suits their needs and goals. I am trained in and draw from various theoretical models, such as humanistic, cognitive-behavioural (CBT), psychodynamic and body psychotherapy to provide you with holistic and compassionate therapy.

I am passionate about what I do, and although therapy can sometimes be emotionally challenging, it can also be exhilarating and inspiring.

I also offer embodied somatic approaches and creative practices in the therapeutic work, believing our bodies reveal invaluable insights. These methods can help you access and express your emotions, sensations, and memories in ways that talking therapy may not always capture.
